N'nerjie
N’nerjie is a R&B/Soul singer-songwriter originally from Toronto. Finding refuge in music at an early age, she used it as a safe way to express her truths and navigate the world around her. Growing up in Toronto, she was lucky to be surrounded by and active in the Toronto music scene. Aside from releasing her own original music, she performed background vocals for Alessia Cara at the 2016 Much Music Video Awards, as well as for the contestants on CTV's The Launch.
After moving to Ottawa in 2019, N’nerjie quickly made a name for herself. In November 2023, she won the 1st Come Correct Competition, competing against 11 other artists in Ottawa. Her song “Life” was also featured on Hot 89.9’s Local Love Segment, and in May 2024, she won Songwriter of the Year for her original song “Tug of War” at the Capital Music Awards. She also performed at NXNE, one of Toronto’s major music festivals.
With a background in performing arts, N’nerjie centers storytelling, emotion, and truth in everything she creates. Inspired by different eras of music, her raw vocals and honest perspectives make her truly one of a kind, creating a sound that feels like something you’ve always known but are hearing for the first time.
